What do you do with snow on school bus? - Solutions from Roofrake.com

School Bus Roof Rakes
& Snow Brooms
Quickly clear snow
from busses.

With new laws in many States especially Pennsylvania we have created this page to offer products to remove snow from school busses.

Our 16 foot Jr. Roof Rake has enough angle and bend in it to reach the tops of school busses to quickly clear several feet of snow. The wheels allow the blade to never touch the roof. Poles snap together with a push of a pin.

Or our snow pro broom head and telescopic extension poles allow for quick set up and the hard foam head is gentle on the roof surface.

The Auto Snow Brum

The SNO BRuM offers consumers a way to quickly sweep snow off a vehicle and away from the user. Perfect for busses, sport utility vehicles and minivans where reaching across the width of the vehicle with a typical snow brush is often not possible. Attaches to any of our heavy duty telecopic poles or lighter duty poles found at your local hardware store.

How To Roof Rake

1. Be Safe  - Dont stand near falling snow or ice. Don't roof rake a home that has power lines connected to the roof. You will get electricuted. Assemble the rake and use to the directions on the box.

2. Ice Dams - Roof Rake 2-3 feet of the edges of all roofs clear. This allows melting snow to drain and not be trapped under snow and ice that will get into your home.

3. Snow Loading/Collapse. Rake off as much as you can. Keep up with the snow. Deep snow very high up can be a problem and we recommend the Roof Razor for this.

4. Make sure you tighten the bolts very tight so they dont come loose.

Ice Dams and Insurance. According to CPCU 551 Property Text Book.

Basic Form ISO Insurance Policies do not cover collapse from the weight of Ice and Snow

Broad Form ISO Insurance Policies cover collapse from this

Water Damage from Ice Dams is only covered under Special Form policies.

Most likely your insurance does not follow standard ISO forms BUT contact your insurance agent to see if you are covered.
