I got the roof rake with a 24' extending pole. I am almost 60 years old and have torn up my shoulder in the past when moving ladders for roof work. I was looking forward to cleaning my roof with a rake while standing on terra firma. It didn't let me down. The roof rake had one job: to get leaves, sticks, acorns, and decayed leaves that were essentially soil-in-the-making off the valleys in my bungalow's roof. We have no gutters (common in the South).



It did a great job. It collected all the compost like stuff and brought it down in front of me. The pole was long enough that I didn't need to go up a ladder. Where the valley emptied out close to a neighbor's wall (with windows) I shortened the telescoping pole--no problems. Afterwards from a distance I checked the shingles with binoculars and they looked fine.



While bringing the leaf stuff down I did have to stop a couple of times and tighten the wingnut assembly on the rake. But that is trivial.



This is an excellent product. I just wish I had gotten one when we moved to the south six years ago.

Our home is in a wooded lot that surrounds it by pines maples and oaks. The 24' telescoping pole solved the major problem of reaching the leaves and pinestraw. Can reach most of the roof from the ground. Not long after the box was opened the roof was clean.

Works as well as I hoped. Very useful and keeps me off the roof.
