I was concerned about the amount of snow on the roof as I had 24-36 inches in most places, and drifts up to 48 inches. The roof rake cut through it all like a hot knife through butter. There is a small learning curve to using it and not getting dumped on by the snow as it comes off the roof on the slide, but once you get the hang of it, it goes quickly.
