The product works as intended in cutting through the deeper snow however the lower portions of the aluminum edge that sits below the metal pole once it is installed has sharp edges and the sharp edge ended up wearing a hole through the tarp after using it on the roof. This should have a different design or the aluminum edge should have a protective rubber or plastic cap that fits tightly over the sharp edges. In my opinion this item is not worth the price that is being charged for it and could be easily added at a much lower cost with a better design that would not wear through the tarp when using it.
