I installed solar panels on my roof last year and wanted to remove the snow off of them so that I could generate electricity on sunny days. This was just what I needed after a major snow fall. It was soft enough that it would not scratch the panels but hard enough that I could remove the snow off of the panels.

While it took a little time to master how to use it, the solar roof rake is the way to generate energy during the winter months. The how to video helped. I look forward to our second year with panels of greater production with a simple and effective way of uncovering the panels for greater electricity production during our shorter day light hours compared to our first winter last year.

Perfect for clearing solar panels. Wears down with use (if it encounters rough spots) but I don’t see a way around that.
