This has a good soft edge that works well with my solar panels, but it needs to be twice as wide in order to make snow clearing effective.



Shipping was fast, and I definitely recommend getting the angle adaptor and the longest pole possible.

I ordered this because I have brand new solar panels that I need to clear without scratching. I was able to get the surface stuff off enough that the sun did the rest, but I was a little frustrated that the rake was useless on the layer of crusty ice/snow underneath the lighter snow. However, it did help, and as long as the next storm doesn't include a layer of ice, I suspect I will be able to clear it down to the panels.

I recently had a solar system installed at my home. I live in Northern Utah where we have frequent snow storms. Wanting to produce as much electricty as I can, I purchased my roof rake to keep the panels clean. I have used the rake 5 times now and I am well pleased with the results. The first time I used it, I tried several different methods and found that I needed to start on the lower panels and work up one row at a time. The upper-most panels were cleaned easiest by pushing the snow up instead of raking it down.



I would recommend the roof rake to anyone that wants to keep their roof mounted solar panels clean.

Used it for the first time on November 15, 2018 for my solar panels, and it worked very well. I am very satisfied with the purchase. A+ product. The foam coating is perfect for the panels. The pole is plenty long enough as well for my needs. Completely satisfied.

I only wish I had purchased the Snopro before it started snowing this season. My solar panels were installed around Thanksgiving time, I then waited 3 weeks for my meter to get replaced. During that time it snowed a couple feet and then rained. Then the temperatures plummeted to sub zero. Needless to say the panels were frozen solid. Since then we have had a thaw and I prepared with having a snowpro on hand. Works great!! Now every time it snows I just extend the pole and start clearing. I was afraid that the weight was going to be a problem on the extra long pole but it is easy to handle!
