I ordered the product since I have 40 solar panels on my roof and my roof is easily accessible since its a ranch home. As of yet the snow fall this year has been none in NYS, but the tool seems it will be effective for the intended use.

We have one roofline that is completely covered in solar panels which is a load in itself. The 2017 winter storms keep adding more and more weight to the roof and cut down on the efficiency of the panels. This rake has been very effective in keeping the array clear and productive. It is light and soft and only meant for solar panels. We need a heavier rake for the snowload on the remaining rooflines..

We rec'd the 22' foam "rake" & love it. It's light, soft, effective. I also have the Garant 16' plastic rake, but just use it for the heavy, stiff stuff. The 22' length is a li'l long by choice because I want some counterbalance when fully extended - which works well for me.

The 22' worked so well that we then bought the 12' model for the PV racks much closer to the ground - for the past 8 yrs. I'd been using a couple of aluminum crutches duck-taped together w/ a 22" squeegee bolted on the end. This is MUCH better & lighter ;-)

This is just what we needed to get snow off the solar panels without getting on a ladder.

Admittedly I only used it once so far this season but the construction seems solid, and the overall product quality seems good,
