Roof Rake and
Snow Rake Online Store

I'm new to snow country and when I found out about roof rakes I wanted something durable, giving me enough reach that I would not have to use a ladder or climb on the roof. This Garelick rake feels like it will last a long time. I also like the blade's rollers that protect my shingled roof from damage. It pulls snow down very effectively, with some technique required for really thick pile-ups.



My one criticism has to do with assembly. When the package was delivered, I needed to use the rake right away, but it took a surprising amount of time to assemble. I'm glad I didn't try to do it outside in the cold. In my opinion the pins and rollers should be installed from the factory; they fit so securely, I can't imagine them getting dislodged in shipment.



Furthermore, while the blade supports are shaped such that they only install one way, the supports' concave-shaped pole end does not fully line up parallel with the pole when all the support bolt holes are aligned. That said, tightening down the supports bent them into shape. I just wish everything lined up perfectly from the start.



Overall I'm very pleased with the roof rake, especially at the sale price. I do prefer to buy USA-made products when possible, and I'm glad this one is available. My new neighbors are impressed with the amount of snow I was able to pull down with this roof rake while never leaving ground-level. Now they want to borrow it :)
