The rake is very efficient in removing snow from the edges of my roof quickly. In valleys (where two roof lines meet) the rake does not work well. My roof has a lot of pitches and valley’s so I had to resort to using a telescoping squeegee. The plastic rollers are made of hard plastic and do not seem to roll very well and at times scrape the shingles. The edges of the plastic rollers are not sharp so probably no harm to the shingles. If you have a basic roof without a lot of pitch and valleys the snow rake should work well.

I have a 90 year old, more fragile than you’d expect, slate roof in Minnesota. Plus I waited too long this year and was pulling down almost 2 feet of snow buildup. The ice dams were winning.
