The Best Snow Roof Rakes For Ranch Single Story Homes
Ranches are no problem for any of the roof rakes on this site. Their low roof edges make it easy to reach all the way to the top. 21 Feet long should be more than sufficient.
The Best Snow Roof Rakes For 2 Story Bungalow or A-Frame Houses
For 2 story homes you need to use a longer roof rake but the pitch of the roofs on these homes can allow you to stand closer making it a little easier to clear. If your roof is a flatter pitch take note of how close your neighbors house may be. You will need to sand at least as close as where you can eye the gutter to the top of the house and need some room to walk backwards.
The Best Snow Roof Rakes Traditional Colonial House
(Less then 3,000 Square Feet)
Traditional Colonial houses are a little more challenging but can absolutely be cleared with a roof rake. First consider using our longest models. You can't lift a roof rake with all extensions, so adding them as you go is advised. Where you stand to work is important and this is where the pitch of your roof comes into play. If your roof has a shallow pitch, you will be standing a little further back and its more difficult to clear lots of area. Clearing 2-3 teet of the roofs edge should prevent ice damming. The Razor Dynamo, has optional angle kits to improve your reach. Having more than one model can assist in the different challenges you may encounter.
The Best Snow Roof Rakes Extra Large Colonial Houses
(Greater than 3,000 Square Feet)
Read the traditional model information. Select the longest units. More than one model may be needed. Due to the size of roof area a Razor Dynamo will make quicker, much easier work of the project if you have sections that straight forward. The lighter weight of the Snow Trapper may prove helpful reaching higher areas. Walk out basements may cause an area to be unreachable.
